An entheogen is a psychoactive substance used in a religious, shamanic or spiritual context, whether or not in a formal religious or traditional structure.
This terminology is often chosen to contrast with recreational use of the same substances.
The term "entheogen" was coined as a replacement for the terms "hallucinogen" (associated with delirium and insanity) and "psychedelic" (associated with psychosis, and '60s drug culture).
An entheogen "creates the divine within," en εν- "in, within," theo θεος- "god, divine," -gen γενος "creates, generates". In practice, the process is more an invocation of the divine - an absorption or collection from without - rather than an evocation, or creation originating within the person. crisis point

Mankind is reaching a crisis point. In the past, spiritual awakening was a luxury, enjoyed by only a few. They tried to teach others, but their teachings were largely misinterpreted. Now there is an absolute need for a broader awakening. We have to awaken if humanity is to make it to the next evolutionary level. The ego-centered consciousness has become so destructive, that we will destroy ourselves and the planet if we do not step out of that consciousness. We have to step out of the collective ego. In the 20th century, 160 to 180 million human beings were killed by other humans through warfare and concentration camps, and prison camps, and manufactured starvation. This is true insanity. As a species we relish, through books, film and video games, other people being maimed and killed and murdered. We see this as entertainment.
If there is no shift in consciousness, we will go downhill very quickly. We are already in the process of destroying the planet, and in continuous conflic ....(more)

It is only at the half way point in the cycle that we take our physical "skins" - these physical bodies will have evolved, much as science indicates, becoming more complex as they become more material and less spiritual. There is always a balance of spirit and matter in everything - it is like Yin/Yang - over time the balance moves to more matter less spirit, until a tipping point (now!) when the balance starts moving back towards spirit.....(more)

The rational conscious mind is a trap that gets in the way of spirituality - we need to become simple, and just "be". Intuition is the mind of the soul, and we have to remove the emotional (irrational) and intellectual (rational) clutter in our heads that prevents us from hearing our own inner voice of intuition, which is our inner wisdom, the voice of the soul.Intuition operates through the higher "soul" chakras (heart and upwards). The soul is the embodiment of love. To be intuitive is to be loving and peaceful.
The 1st chakra (base - root of spine) is animal passion (or instinct) and groundedness.

near death experiences

PROLOGUEWhen I was a child I was a bit of a pyromaniac - at 11 I was with a younger friend in his father's garage, playing with matches trying to light a small bonfire on the concrete floor.. I had often watched my father get fires alight using paraffin(kerosene) and I had sometimes been allowed to help - I saw what looked to me like a container of paraffin in the garage, and poured some on the fire. It was petrol (gasoline). As I poured, flame shot up into the can and the can became like a flame-thrower - I dropped it in alarm and it landed on its side, flame jetting out against the wooden garage wall - my friend ran out into the garden in panic - I poked at the can with a stick trying to direct it away from the wall - it fell on its back and instantly petrol spread all over the floor, engulfing me in an inferno - I ran outside screaming and threw myself on the gravel - as my body lay there screaming, on the ground, my consciousness moved out of my body up above it and I could see m ....(more)
